Principal Casey Olmstead

To our Talent Middle School families,

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year! My name is Casey Olmstead and I will be the new principal at Talent Middle School. I am so excited to partner with the incredible staff and all of you, to help support our students to become their best selves in and out of the classroom.  

As I reflect on my time in education, I have always wanted to do everything I can for the students who walk into the school building and out into the community. Much of this comes from my own story and upbringing. I pursued education because it was the experiences in school growing up that gave me what I needed to continue to push forward in the midst of difficult challenges. Put simply, the teachers and coaches involved in my life changed my life. They provided me with something that allowed me to dream bigger, and be bigger, than my circumstances. Now, on this side of it, it’s important to me to do everything in my power to show students that they have people forever in their corner. People who will continue to show up for them in the good, bad, and everything in-between moments. People that constantly remind them that their voice matters; that they matter.

Together, as a community, we can make that possible. The role that each of us play is vital to impacting the next generation. So, as I look ahead to this coming year, more than anything, I am looking forward to partnering with all of you in helping ALL of our students thrive.
